Another Serious Aftershock

The Uncertainty is the Worst

Another strong but short quake just now. Probably in the high 5s range but maybe low 6 at a deeper location. Lots of people running outside again. Some shouting. I don't hear any crying this time. It only lasted a few seconds (maybe 8-10ish) but it was enough to spook people. Kamal asked, "what is happening to Nepal?" I hear a plane taking off from KTM so it couldn't have been so strong as to get them to halt flights. I wonder if people who live in high seismic areas (like the Japanese) ever get used to the regular, small quakes or if it is just as disruptive everywhere. The problem seems to be that it is hard to tell at first how strong it is going to be. The big ones here have all started the same way the small ones have.
